Current location:
On January 20th, China's first domestically produced field emission transmission electron microscope TH-F120 Taihang was officially released in Guangzhou, Guangdong. This marks that China has mastered core technologies such as electron guns for transmission electron microscopy and has the ability to mass produce complete transmission electron microscopy products.
After more than three years of effort, scientists have completed the development of China's first 100% independent intellectual property rights 120 kV field emission transmission electron microscope, achieving an imaging ability of 0.2 nm resolution and reaching the level of productization.
The first new transmission electron microscope product TH-F120 launched by Guangzhou Huiju Technology Co., Ltd. is named after the famous Chinese mountain "Taihang", symbolizing that TH-F120 will become the backbone of China's transmission electron microscope industry, just like the Taihang Mountains.
Transmission electron microscopy is a powerful tool for observing the ultrastructure of substances, with a resolution capability of up to atomic level. This release has broken the long-term dependence of transmission electron microscopy on imports in China, providing strong support for the high-quality development of cutting-edge science and industrial fields such as materials science, life science, and semiconductor industry.
It is reported that transmission electron microscopy has extremely high industry monopolies and technological barriers. Currently, the global market share of transmission electron microscopy is mainly occupied by companies in the United States and Japan. Previously, China relied entirely on imports for transmission electron microscopy, and localization was still a blank.
The first domestically produced field emission transmission electron microscope released this time is the result of cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Biological Island Laboratory. It was independently developed and designed by a Chinese scientific research team, and has core technologies such as field emission electron guns, high-voltage power supplies, and electronic detection cameras used in transmission electron microscopy. It also has the ability to mass produce complete transmission electron microscopy products.
It is understood that field emission transmission electron microscopy can be applied in fields such as materials science, life sciences, and semiconductor industry. In 2022, China imported about 300 transmission electron microscopes, with a total import value exceeding 3 billion yuan. It is expected that the annual compound growth rate will exceed 5.8% from 2022 to 2028. The debut of the first domestically produced field emission transmission electron microscope marks China's breaking of foreign monopolies in the field of transmission electron microscopy technology, significantly improving the level of localization, and further promoting high-quality development in cutting-edge science and industry.
