According to the report, the General Session team originally had about 50 people and was once the largest team within Doubao, mainly responsible for chat related product work such as dialogue strategy and experience evaluation.

It is reported that in addition to the general session team on the product side, the Product Posttrain Chat, a product post training team under the Seed big model department and dialogue direction, has also experienced personnel reduction. The team mainly conducts post dialogue training based on the Seed base, producing small models for bean buns. Some personnel have already completed job transfers to other model training projects.

On September 24th, Liu Xing, the head of public relations at Doubao, stated in a post that some media reported on the organizational adjustment of the Doubao Session team, and some self media interpreted it as Doubao layoffs and the halving of the Doubao Dialogue team, and the relevant information was untrue. According to Liu Xing, some of the functions of the Doubao General Session team have been separated from the Doubao Trading and Doubao Work teams, so the personnel have also moved with them. Many are also doing previous work. For example, trading is also about optimizing the trading conversation experience. This team has less than 50 people, and the division of labor adjustment involves 11 people. Three of them resigned. Liu Xing emphasized that some reports that mentioned "layoffs of 200 million people using tofu buns" and "cutting half of the dialogue team" are untrue.
